It was a pleasure to work with Sheffield’s Element Society team to enhance and update their skills in First Aid with a 3 hour in-house First Aid Course. It’s so important to carry out CPD in all vital areas of responsibility and the professional approach this team takes in outstanding to see. Well done guys.
Over the past 2 months my team have had the pleasure to conduct a bespoke Conflict Management Course for Leicester City Council. The delegates have been across the spectrum from Housing, Traffic, Parks to Office administration and Management. They are subjected to a vast amount of Issues and anger thrown at them due to sometimes unrealistic expectations from the general public. Every day they have been punched, abused, threatened, shouted at, hijacked, sexually assaulted, spat at, received aggressive behaviour and been subjected to a huge amount of hostile reactions everyday they go to work.
Every one of the delegates are solely dedicated to their jobs, they try to do the best they can but however due to budgets, H&S, governmental policies and new safety procedures they are restricted in the services they sometimes can supply.
Andy, We had an enjoyable afternoon with you and your team. It was great to have a variety of activities to take part in which meant that all the members of the team could participate in. The Handball session was really enjoyable – you could see everyone getting involved and the competitive nature of people coming out.
But the good thing was that it was an opportunity to get the team together and have fun in a non-work environment. Also, the fact that you could provide this to tie in with our own budget requirements was great and I’ve already recommended your services to our HR Department should they need ideas for team away days.
We worked with Andy and his team for the second time in October 2017 on a team building day. I was impressed with Andy and his team right from the start, he listened to our needs and created a programme of activity that suited us as a team. The day was brilliant and our team had a fantastic time.
The actives were well designed and suited our mixed ability. Andy and the team supported us all the way encouraging staff to move outside of their comfort zones. We would definitely recommend Andy and his whole team and I’m sure we will be using them in the future.

The camp itself was great, the structure was brilliant and Andy and the team ensured that everyone was able to join in, but that no one was made to do anything they weren’t comfortable with.

This qualification is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider, CPR, Using a defibrillator, assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification? This is a 3 credit qualification, with a guided learning hour’s value of 24 and it has a minimum contact time of 18 hours, which is typically delivered via a 3 day course. For those retraining, the course time can be reduced to 2 days.
How is the qualification assessed? Learners must undertake a practical assessment of their competence along with a short open response knowledge assessment, where learners are required to provide a short response to a prescribed series of questions. Course Costs: £135
